This unusual, triangular pyramid shaped bag pays homage to a bag in The Metropolitan Museum of Art. That bag is attributed to Madame Marie Collot Gerber, working as a designer for Callot Soeurs, and made between 1910 and 1915.
My bag is a little more modest. Perfect for a wedding, it is white lace over black china silk. It is lightly padded and has another layer of the black china silk as a lining. The three sides open like the petals of a flower and are secured through a ring with the carrying strap, which is made of a black organza ribbon and a white satin ribbon, knotted together. The three corners each have a trio of hanging beads as decoration. Each edge of the bag measures approximately 19cm and the bag is 16cm tall. There is a matching bolero and a ring bearer pillow in my shop.
