Full description

This is a listing for a tailor's ham and sleeve roll as pictured. Both the tailor's sleeve roll and ham have been made using a fabulous sewing themed cotton print fabric on one side, a button print design from sought after Japanese designer Suzuko Koseki, and a 100% wool from Cotswold woollen weavers on the other. The cotton is used for items needing a high temperature, while the wool side is used for cooler iron temperature items. Both are firmly packed with sawdust, a traditional stuffing for a pressing aid.

Pressing rolls and hams are invaluable ironing aids for those awkward to reach areas, but also as aids to dressmaking; the fabric shapes itself around the roll for ironing; a roll is especially helpful for ironing sleeves while the ham copes with seams such as necklines, as shown. These are items you'll use constantly.

Size of the sleeve roll approx 12 1/2 inches length by 4 inches.

Size of the ham approx 8 inches length by 6 1/2 inches at its widest, narrowing down to 4 inches.
