I'm always doodling in my diary, usually when I ought to be doing something else. Doodling silly little cats. And one day: 'Well,' thinks I, 'I could cut little cat shapes out of felt and stitch on a funny face'.

Next thing I know, it's obvious they should get in the festive spirit and wear party hats. Now all they need is a spare Christmas tree branch to hang on and they will fulfil their life's purpose.
