Full description
This lovely bowl, made from 100% white British un-dyed wool, reminds me of a little snow sculpture! I added a sprinkle of sliver glitter below the final layer of wool, so the bowl very subtly sparkles in the light: very pretty and a beautiful decorative item for Christmas or any other time of year. It is also sturdy enough to hold jewellery and other little treasures.
I started making my fuzzy bowls as a way of experimenting with making 3 dimensional forms using my felting needle - they have been created entirely from wool by using the special needle to felt the fibres together and to sculpt them into shape. I build up the colour layer by layer to create a beautifully soft and fuzzy effect.
The bowl measures approximately 11cm/4.5inches diameter and 4cm/1.75inches high.
