Full description
This is a hand-poured candle in a true vintage English fine bone china tea cup.
The gorgeous pattern is called "Periwinkle" and the china comes from the lesser known English pottery of Roslyn. The background colour is true white, decorated with these very pretty pink flowers and green foliage; and both the cup and saucer are trimmed in gilt. This is a standard tea cup size - the saucer measures 14cm in diameter, and the cup stands 7cm tall.
The china is true vintage, dating to around the 1950's, and is free of chips, cracks or crazing. There may be a little wear to the gilding - this is natural and to be expected with a vintage item - but is absolutely minimal.
The candle itself is pure white, and made from a translucent wax so that once lit the light will pass through the wax and the whole cup will glow, due to the nature of this fine bone china.
The candle is sold unscented; but you may request it to be coloured and/or scented if you desire. The most popular scent is "Earl Grey" (the quintessentially English tea), and other available scents are: rose, lavender, chamomile, jasmine or gardenia. There is an additional charge of £2.00 for adding scent and/or colour - please specify your choices when checking out through PayPal.
