My photographs are inspired by a life long love and explorations of the natural world. I’m especially drawn to colours, textures, stories and patterns in the nature I find around me. I’m based in Derbyshire and often roam the woodland here at dawn and dusk with my camera… But I also spend a lot of time in Northumberland, in the Highlands of Scotland, Wales, fenland marshes and also in parts of Scandinavia (where I’m sometimes found sat in a hide watching bears in the forests…)

The photographs I exhibit, sell and publish are all taken on a digital SLR camera, almost always using natural light. Usually the image is left exactly as it was at the point the photograph was taken; but sometimes I digitally edit the images afterwards (this is stated) and drain colours or add scratches and sometimes I add words (I work with various forms of print and collage also).

I’m very drawn to old, warn photographs, to the work of early wildlife and landscape photographers.
