In the past I have created Christmas Humbug decorations but only in Cross Stitch. After creating a ‘How To’ for a Craft Forum I wondered if they could be made in a different medium. After sitting with pencil and graph paper and being further inspired by Fair Isle knitting I came up with a number of different knitted patterns.

A set of two red and white hand knitted Christmas Humbug Decorations. They are called humbugs due to their unusual shape, the shape of the old humbug sweets. I have designed the pattern on this pair in the Fair Isle tradition. Each one has a hanging loop of red, white and transparent beads. They will look stunning displayed at Christmas.
The humbugs decorations are filled with hypo allergic polyester hollow fibres and This filling complies with the Furniture and Furnishing (Fire Safety) Regulations 1988.
The size of each decoration is 4.5inches (11.5cm) by 4.5inches (11.5cm) excluding the bead loop.
