I think it is great to have shoes that no-one else is wearing and so decorating shoes yourself can be the answer!
Although it is very time-consuming and painstaking, I really do enjoy making these mini works of art which I feel are rather unusual and special and will be unique to the little person wearing them.
I think the little soldiers on these shoes would suit a ‘little soldier’, boy or girl, or perhaps a little visitor to London or the UK.
I have sold pairs of my decorated shoes to people living in the USA, Germany, Italy and New Zealand and it is super to get pictures of them ‘in action’ on my Facebook page (Your Lovely Home (Stephanie Sinclair)) - so do put up any fun pictures of your little one's pair if you would like to!

Full description
These canvas shoes have been individually decorated with napkin decoupage, carefully layering a collage of images from complementary paper napkins. I have purposefully decorated the two shoes differently for more impact but made them so that they match or reflect each other when seen and worn together.
A collage of London and Great Britain images is on each shoe, including Big Ben, the Union Jack flag, telephone boxes, buses and Palace guards with their Busby helmets.
The shoes are unusual and unique and, whilst I follow a design/pattern, no two pairs I produce will be the exactly the same.
The medium and varnish used give the shoes an almost plastic-feel finish (which softens nicely with wear) and which make the shoes relatively shower proof. I have made this pair in a baby/infant size (Size C4, 20) but would still recommend that my shoes are treated more like special/occasion shoes rather than mini-trainers, e.g., avoiding heavy scuffing and immersing in water, and are cleaned gently with only a damp cloth.
These are Slazenger plimsolls, in case you might wish to try on a pair in a Sports Shop to check how the sizing comes up.
