These stunning Eighteenth Century etchings of inquisitive owls provided inspiration for this design. Perching on layers of vintage lace they assume an ethereal quality that is illuminated by the inside of the shade. Cow parsley and fragments of labels from times gone by suggest another world in which the owl and woodland creatures inhabit.
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.

Full description
This design shows a family of Owls looking out inquisitively. Collaged onto layers of vintage screen printed lace ,cow parsley and hints of paper ephemera in dusky greys, cream and white. My surface pattern/illustration is reproduced and printed onto light fast paper and then laminated onto special lampshade lining. I then roll the panel to form a drum shape creating a functional as well as decorative piece for the home décor.
This photograph is of the small lampshade measuring 20cm diameter x 19cm diameter and has a fitting for a table lamp.
