I have always loved the colour plates in my antique bird books. The ones of bird eggs are especially beautiful. There's something about the old inks and printing process that captures the delicate quality of the eggs perfectly.
I have reproduced an entire Victorian colour plate from my collection on this pendant. The tiny writing and identifying numbers are still in place although you might need a magnifying glass to read them.
