"Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore,
`Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou,' I said, `art sure no craven.
Ghastly grim and ancient raven wandering from the nightly shore -
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night's Plutonian shore!'
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'"
-- From "The Raven" by Edar Allan Poe

A raven peeks out of this charming locket with a secret to keep. Open it up to reveal two tiny pieces of paper. One showing the Edgar Allan Poe verse above in slanting hand, the other a photograph of the great man himself.
The raven image is set under glass for a quality and enduring finish and is set into a beautifully detailed silver plated locket. The locket has wonderful patterns on both the inside and out and is about 3cm tall.
The locket is hanging from a lovely 24 inch silver plated trace chain and looks great on its own or teamed with other necklaces.
NOTE: The papers inside the locket are not waterproof so please do not put this piece anywhere near water or condensation.
