Natural Handspun Texel yarn
A soft, springy yarn in undyed natural Texel fibre. This yarn is ideal for dye-it-yourself projects, using acid dyes if you want strong colours, or Dylon warm water dyes for pastel colours. Texel sheep are not bred specifically for their fleece, but it has a good staple and a slight luster to the fibres. This small flock live on the Gloucestershire / Worcesershire border in western England.
Amount: not less than 200 yards (approx 115g) per skein. Knits to roughly 4 Ply / fingering weight. Postage within the UK is included in the overall price for this item.
As is often the case, monitor and digital colours vary. This yarn is a cream undyed colour. Although care has been taken to remove vegetable matter from this yarn, occasional small pieces may remain. You should be able to tease these out gently with your fingers or a pair of tweasers. Not suitable for next to baby skin items.
Yarn will lighten slightly with washing. Hand wash at 40 degree centigrade or lower with a mild detergent (unless you want it to felt!).
