Like all his other wood spirit companions, his original tree inspired me when we had to fell two cherry trees in recent times. Too good just to burn on our stove, I realised there were wood spirits waiting to be carved out of the tree and have had much pleasure in doing so

Full description
Approximately 18 cms high by 5cms wide, this wood spirit is carved from two year old cherry wood, using hand tools, I then added a glitter to his bark to give him sparkle and finished with three layers of PVA varnish. Hang him up on your tree or indoors. It was a Pagan belief that he would bring luck to your garden, particularly your trees. He later became known as the Green Man
