An attractive little table lamp made from a piece of English Oak turned to a pear shaped form. The finished lamp is given several coats of an environmentally friendly blend of natural waxes.

The lamp comes with a 2M long gold coloured lead and fitted 13 amp plug with 3 A fuse. The brass bayonet cap lampholder, mounted on a short polished solid brass stem, is switched and earthed via the 3 core mains lead. Lamps are fully tested to comply with relevant safety requirements.

This lamp is approx 21 cm to the top of the lampholder and 8 cm across.

Idly passing a rather exclusive local gallery, I saw a number of rather quirky table lamps, closer inspection revealed somewhat breathtaking prices. I was sure I could do something equally attractive, but at price people could afford, and so started my venture into lamp making.

This particular lamp started out as a small offcut from a larger job, feeling sorry for the little orphan, I put it on the lathe and out came this lamp. Sadly it should have a twin brother, but a serious flaw led to its untimely death!

Though many of my lamps may appear similar, each lamp is unique, with the lamps gallery on my website showing many of diverse range of styles which I have produced so far. With the exception of the occasional piece of exotic wood, which is obtained from a reputable sustainable source, these lamps are made from reclaimed timber.
