Full description
This small wooden doorknob, suitable for drawers and cupboards, or simply to keep as an ornament, is decorated with a design of sweet apples ripening to yellow and red among the fresh green leaves of a late summer fruit tree. The combination of pyrographic line, applied directly to the wood with a wire tool heated over the gas cooker in the Bloor kitchen, and delicately diluted acrylic paints make this a unique hand-decorated item. The knob's surface is finished with a coating of clear, matt varnish.
