For the fabric pattern I was inspired by Roman mosaics of sea life. The box itself is influenced by small antiquarian trinket boxes.

Full description
Hand made fabric box. Measuring 5cm x 5cm approx. Standing at 9cm with the lid and fish decoration on top. I have printed some of my fish drawings onto fabric and then sewn the panels onto the sides and bottom of the box. Also sewn onto the sides are prints of two of my drawings, a ship and a shell. The lid is removable. The front portrait is a print of one of my paintings. The sea captain is decorated with beads, sequins and also some small blue crystal beads. They catsh the light and give the design a little sparkle.
