This is a PDF knitting pattern for a simple cabled baby hat.

It is knit flat, on two needles..

You can choose to knit it in one solid colour or striped. There is an optional felt and button embellishment.

The cable pattern is just a 6 row repeat pattern and there are plenty of step by step pictures to help you. It would make an ideal project for someone who wants to try cabling for the first time.

SIZES: Instructions are given for 4 sizes - 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months and 1 - 2 years.

SKILLS REQUIRED: You need to be able to knit, purl and decrease. There are photos to show you how to work a cable if you have never knit one before

YARN: 50-100 grams double knit yarn depending on size

TENSION/GAUGE: 22st and 30 rows to a 4" (10cm square over stocking st

NEEDLES: 3.25mm (US size 3) and 4mm (US size 6) straight knitting needles

My patterns are written in standard UK and american terms with clear instructions and plenty of pictures to guide you.You may email me for support at any time if you need it.

I have worked for several years writing project instructions for UK craft magazines, including knitting patterns.

You may make hats to sell using the pattern, but you cannot sell the pattern itself.
