I love the way that copper sheet turns into a deep burgundy colour when I layer it in between art glass and fire it in my kiln. I wanted to use the copper to create a simple love hearts coaster. A lovely gift for a close friend or family.

Full description
I've sprinkled some mini copper hearts in between two sheets of art glass, and surrounded them with little matt gold dots to create this hand-made glass coaster.
The hearts have been hand-cut from copper foil, and gold glass paint added in dots. I then fuse the layers of glass together in a specialist glass kiln, up to 800 degrees, before cooling it slowly to ensure it's strength.
The little hearts coaster measures approximately 8cm by 8cm and comes with four rubber bumpers on the bottom to protect your furniture.
This design is also available as a light-catcher and as a trinket bowl. Your coaster will be made to order and will look similar to the one pictured but not identical. A set of these coasters would make a lovely and unusual wedding gift, please email me if you would like to commission a personalised set of coasters.
Your coaster will come carefully wrapped in tissue paper and bubblewrap for a secure delivery. If you would like to give the hearts coaster as a gift, I can send it directly to the recipient with a message of your choice.
