Harris Tweed is what is says on the tin (or label) and is defined by law as having been "handwoven by the islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides, made from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides".
Harris Tweed is more than a fabric, it is a way of life, a means for islanders to support themselves in a fragile economy and a connection to generations past, present and future.

Harris Tweed off-cuts are matched with another remnant piece of tweed and some co-ordinating cotton prints to create these lovely shabby chic hanging hearts.
This is re-using, recycling and scrap busting in a pretty and fun way!
The lovely warm colours of pinks and reds contrast with the cooler blues, greens and greys to create an eye-catching combination. The hearts are backed in an unbleached calico, and the important Orb label is featured on the front.
Each of these hearts is a totally unique one off, so you can be sure that yours is extra special!
