I have designed, through experimentation, a unique way of upcycling old books, and giving them new life.
The books (and maps, sheet music and comics) I use are damaged/old/unwanted and picked up in charity shops, book sales etc. so I am supporting local charities, and recycling, aswell as producing fun and unique useful art that can brighten any home!

Full description
A wooden frame decorated, using decoupage, with pages from a vintage Matilda book that was looking rather dog-eared and well read!
The picture in the frame is also a page from the book.
The picture depicts Miss Trunchbull in her office, and the frame includes the chapter name "throwing the hammer".
This picture would look fantastic in any home, particularly on a wall in a kid's bedroom! Please note, however, that it is Glass in the frame, so would need to be securely hung on a wall out of reach of children!
Every frame/framed picture I make is unique, and is true to my ethos of upcycling, as I only use old and damaged books (and maps, sheet music, comics, marine charts) that would otherwise be thrown away!
