I love this technique of knotting - it's very therapeutic! And these lovely little 'old-fashioned' beads lend themselves perfectly, creating a satisfying 'woven' pattern as you work.

Full description
To make this long vintage style necklace I knotted little cream beads which have an unusual shape.
The little beads are made of ivory or cream coloured glass, with a glossy opal finish.
They are made in what used to be known as 'Bohemia', an area of the Czech republic which specialises in making high quality glass beads.
I have knotted the beads onto a double length of pale gold macrame cord, which is fine but very strong. For this necklace I have placed the beads close together, to create an almost woven effect.
This necklace looks delicate and pretty worn on its own, but also lends itself to layering with other similar necklaces, for a more boho look, as shown in the last picture.
The beads measure 6mm each (0.2 inches).
The necklace fastens with an antique brass finish lobster clasp and measures approximately 102cm (40 inches).
Your necklace will be presented in a gift box, and sent securely packaged by first class Royal Mail post.
