Lily is named after my mother. Most of my previous blanket designs were named after my grandmother Bessie who was an inspiration to me. She died at the age of 94 and was still knitting and crocheting blankets up until the day she died.
Lily was Bessie’s daughter, she carried on the tradition and made crochet blankets for me as a child.

Full description
Lily is named after my mother who sewed and created all her life.
Lily is made with The Natural Dye Studio’s Dazzle HT (100% British BFL Wool) and/or The Natural Dye Studio’s Dazzling 4 ply/Sock. (British BFL Wool/Silk)
Both of these yarns are soft and warm and also have a brilliant stitch definition which makes them perfect for Lily.
The Lily blanket photographs were taken at the East Lyn River, and Lynmouth harbour.
Size
The blanket in the main photograph measures approx. 50 x 60 ins, 332 motifs (15 rows wide, alternate rows of 15 & 16 long).
You will need
15 skeins of The Natural Dye Studio’s Dazzle HT 4 ply/Sock yarn
OR The Natural Dye Studio’s Dazzling 4 ply/Sock yarn.
Lily is best done in many different colours, as shown 25 were used. A minimum of 15 is recommended.
2.75mm crochet hook.
Tension
The blocked motifs measure approx. 4 inches from point to point.
It is important to get the tension correct so you will need to make several swatches and block them to establish the correct hook size for you.
All my patterns are written in British crochet terms.
The patterns are PDF's and will be sent by e-mail within 24 hours.
