When an old cottage was recently sold, a mahogany Edwardian desk was thrown into a skip so I rescued it and used as much of it as possible to recreate some useful items. This cupboard was made from one of it's drawers( the original brass lock is still on it! I made the door from the desk top and added a shelf inside that was originally floor boarding in an old cotton mill.Chicken wire was added to give that French feel and a vintage bakelite knob added. It was then painted in Annie Sloane chalk paint and waxed.On the back is some vintage style french paper.
