This book is a one-off item and, for your security, it will be posted to you by Royal Mail "Signed For" delivery. The delivery is tracked and a signature will be needed on receipt. === Standard returns policy applies to this item, except when a customised label has been purchased and attached to the book. If the book has a customised printed label, the book is then not eligible for return, unless it is faulty. Full description
A Guest Book, ideal for a Wedding or special celebration; this could also be used as a special journal or sketchbook, as it contains a lovely crisp artists paper. You could put photos on one side of each page, as the paper is stiff enough to support them.
The covers are in high quality Italian paper, in a design of blossoms and butterflies, with a collage background. The cover linings are in strawberry red Murano art paper.
The book is hand bound in strawberry red linen thread, with a Japanese style stab-stitch binding. The book has hinged covers, to allow them to fold back flat.
Inside, there are 16 pages of beautiful, stiff Fabriano artists' paper with a smooth finish. The pages have hand-torn edges to give a slight deckle finish; some still have the natural deckle at the front edge, formed when the sheets of paper were individually made in a frame.
This paper is suitable for many types of pen, also inks and most paints (so long as not too wet) and all other dry media.
The outside measurements are 18 x 15cm (7" x 6") and the pages measure 15 x 15cm (6" x 6").
You can personalise your book, by adding a custom-made label or bookplate, or perhaps a hand-tied silk tassel. For more details, see the Labels and Add-ons section of my shop.
