Beeswax proofed leather drinking vessels have been traditional for hundreds of years, particularly beer mugs, as they were far more affordable for most people than glass or pewter. I wanted to build on this history to make a wider range of traditionally inspired drinking vessels.

Full description
These tankards make an interesting alternative to glass. Modelled on a design from the wreck of the Mary Rose, they hold just over a pint.
They are hand cut from undyed vegetable tanned leather, hand stitched with linen thread, before being waterproofed by dipping in molten beeswax. They are then leak tested with water for a couple of hours.
You drink straight from the leather vessel! Drinks taste so much better when mingled with the aroma of beeswax.

NOTE: These must only be used for cold drinks and must NOT be washed in hot water, especially in a dishwasher! They should be rinsed in cool or tepid water, without any detergents or abrasives.
