When I was small my dad made me some painted wooden people. I wanted to do something similar for my own children - and so my wooden folk were born.
This is the first wooden 'house' I have done, but I have big plans for the future.

Full description
It's quite a big family ... Dad, Mum, 3 children and a baby, plus the family dog and a crow who lives in the attic - but they all seem happy enough. They can stretch their 'legs' and pootle off somewhere else if they want to, but I expect they'll all want to come back to their own little place in the house at the end of the day.
Each wooden character is painted using acrylics and finished with a coat of varnish.
They live in a house made of Empress wood and also painted with acrylics and varnished.
There are two small brass-coloured 'hooks' to hang the house on the wall, should you desire, but it would look equally effective standing on a shelf.
The wooden folk family range in size from 8.5cm (Dad) to 4.5cm (Baby) tall. The dog measures approximately 3.5cm tall and the crow is just 2.5cm tall.
