This handkerchief was so pretty that I decided to make a Christening or baby shower bonnet from it.

Full description
I have used a 100% fine linen vintage Swiss embroidered handkerchief to make this sweet baby shower or Christening bonnet. I have used white ribbon to complete the bonnet so that it ties in a bow at the back and at the front.
This vintage handkerchief bonnet will be a memorable baby gift for any baby 0-3 months of age. Traditionally, when the baby grows into an adult, the stitches are removed and the handkerchief is used to add a sentimental 'something old' touch to the brides wedding day. When the bride has her first born the handkerchief can be used as a family heirloom by being stitched again into a Christening bonnet.
Bonnet Size:
Depth of bonnet - 18 cms
Circumference of brim - 31 cms
This bonnet is for average sized baby i.e. 7-8lbs at birth - I am happy to make up smaller or larger bonnets as required depending on the babies birth weight. Just send me a message via Gloriana if you require any further information.
I will wrap the bonnet in tissue paper.
