applique & embroidered textile art canvas – fancy zombie lady.
based on an original drawing by Little Black Heart, this piece is entirely made by me on a domestic sewing machine.
this undead beauty is wearing a fancy empire line dress in hand dyed silks, the dress is deep pink, with peach coloured sleeves and pale pink detail to the cuffs & bodice.
her long flowing hair, and the air around her, is decorated with tiny silk blossoms.
her red eyes contrast with her deathly pale blue linen skin & her eyeballs are hand embroidered.
the fabrics are layered and appliqued onto pre-washed calico, and the intricate details drawn on with free machine (free motion) embroidery.
this cute little picture measures approximately
13cm x 13cm 5” x 5”
and is 4cm deep, stretched over a canvas box frame.
everything is cut, stitched & drawn freehand by me, ensuring it is unique, well made and securely constructed.
