Cock-a-doodle-doo!
I have made this splendid fellow using a boldly patterned blue and ivory cotton contrasted with a wonderfully rich pumpkin orange felt.
His wings have a feathered appearance using small pieces of both fabrics, each I have carefully and individually stitched, to create a layered effect. In addition this proud rooster boasts a similarly 'feathered' upper chest and erect, and rather dashing, comb upon his head! His bold beak is formed from yellow felt with stitched yarn nostrils!
The cockeral is made to free-stand on yellow wire legs, (with twisted 'knee' feature), to which I have added a pair of embellished feet!
As a final but very glamorous flourish I have added four colourful tail feather, each is lovingly stitched and shaped before being sewn in place.
This handsome bird measure an approximate 5" in height and about 7" long from beak to the tip of his tail feathers!
