Additional terms
I handspin my yarns from a mixture of British and merino wool tops combined with various fibres, ribbons etc. Each listing should contain details of the Yarn contents though occasional stray fibres may slip into the blend from the drum carding process. Please note that items that are described as 2 and 3 ply describes the composition of the yarn and not the knitting gauge. Each listing will give a commercial equivalent gauge/weight so that you can match yarn to patterns. I do accept orders for custom items but as everything is handmade please be aware that processes like carding, spinning, weaving, dying etc. cannot be rushed. If you contact me with your requirements I will end to quote a realistic time frame for the work you require. I try to ensure the colours of my yarns and woven items are well represented in the photographs but all monitors differ so please be aware that there may be some slight differences. If the yarn is really not what you expected I will of course refund or replace as mentioned previously. Handspun items are made from Wool and therefore care needs to be taken when washing. I recommend a cool handwash, pulling to reshape and flat drying. Most of the dyes used are colour fast but its probably best to wash items on their own at least for the first wash. Everything is made within a non smoking home environment, I do have a pet dog but he is kept in a different part of my property and I always ensure I have clean hands when working with my fabrics, fibres and fleeces.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Wensleydale - natural cream ( oatmeal)
A few customers have asked me for natural coloured yarns made using traditional methods. Reenactors in particular like the authenticity and I love making natural yarns as the process is exactly the same as it would have been in years gone by. I created these yarns from fleece, hand washing, picking, carding and finally spinning, all by hand.
There are quite a few lots of this item available but if you need more than is shown please contact me as I may have more fleece being prepared.
Apologies for the postage costs. Wool is light but bulky. The price is charge is the actual cost of the royal mail postage charge, but I can pack lots more yarn in for little or no extra cost so it pays to buy in bulk.
Please contact me for any enquiries.
Thanks
