I'm making a mitred sqaure blanket (that's mine in the photo) after being inspired by the ladies at the Bakewell wool fair last autumn. I was using odds and ends of my own hand-dyed sock wool, and thought that others might like have small amounts of different colours for similar projects. Hence the mini skeins were born!

Five mini skeins of 20g each, total 100g, in different colourways as shown.
These are perfect for making blankets in different coloured stripes or squares, or for making stripy socks. An example of a mitred sqaure blanket-in-progress is shown in the last photo.
Yarn: Etherow Sock, 100% Merino wool
A springy yarn that would make warm socks or blankets.
The Etherow is the river that flows through Longdendale and on into the Mersey. As the primary source for the reservoirs, it is the main source of water for Manchester.
100g/420m approx. – this amount should be enough for a pair of socks or several blanket squares.
Sock / fingering / 4ply weight yarn - recommended needle size: 2.5mm – 3.5mm.
Hand wash, dry flat.
