I love the effect pierced paper has when light shines through - particularly flickering candle light.

SALE ITEM
Tea light shade that features cream paper with a variety of hand sewn and pierced paper effects. Each technique has a different effect when the light shines through and the shade makes a beautiful table feature or a wonderful decoration placed anywhere in the room adding a natural warm glow.
The shade features large horizontal hand stitching, beads and machine stitched horizontal stripes in pale pink and white thread. The shade features a variety of pierced effects, including hand piercing and pierced stripes that are made with the sewing machine.
The pierced paper has been backed with a transparent lampshade backing to stiffen it. The backing is flame retardant but due to an overlapped paper edge on the reverse of the shade I recommend that the LED tea light that is provided with the shade is used, or if a candle is to be used it should be place in a tall glass within the shade.
(I have now reduced this item from £7 to £5.50 due to the fact that I previously had two of the shades for sale and one has now sold leaving this shade)
