I found this gorgeous cotton fabric some time ago and loved it's fresh palette and lush foliage print! I have teamed it with a rich lichen green felt to create this cute little bird which I think is very reminiscent of a little greenfinch!
As with all my birds this little fellow is made to free-stand on legs shaped from re-purposed copper wire. His eyes are black seedbeads mounted on circles of ivory felt and his beak is cut from a cinnamon shade of wool felt. Standing at just about 4" tall and measuring approx 3 and half inches long he is perfectly sized to happily perch on a shelf or cupboard top where he can keep a watchful eye on all that goes on below!
