well, basically, I figured that with a little though I could cut up a load of comics and pick the panels that were primarily one colour

Additional terms

Sharp-eyed shoppers may note that I also have a red one. It's the exact same chair so they look great together. If you want both, (and you clearly do) there will be a discount. Plus, it's not that much more to ship them both together so you'd be saving money there too...! I've listed the shipping as £60 but I don't really know, After some research, it's really expensive to ship things of this size (they're 1m tall and 50cm wide and deep). If the buyer can think of a better way to ship I'll take it!

Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Full description

Decoupage Chair in Blue. I cut out the blue panels from countless old copies of 2000AD and stuck them to an old dining chair that someone had left in my hallway. (there was a sign saying anyone could take it, don't worry) I used lots and lots of PVA glue for this and managed to do my back in for three days after it was done. That's not included in the price. After that I used two coats of yacht varnish to make it tough, with extra varnish on bits that stick out, and put steel protectors on the feet. I rebuilt the seat because there's only so far you can go with glue, and upholstered it in the good blue striped fabric you can see above. That was my 2011 in a nutshell.

I tried to promote the pictures with the most exciting dialogue, my favourite thing about comics is that all the language is so dramatic and I can spend ages reading the speech bubbles. I also like the guy with the stupid big gun on the right leg and the statue of liberty on the back, and the spitfire on the left bit at the front of the back... I could go on.
