Full description
The wood for this little box came from an old Beech tree which once grew in a friends wood before being brought down by strong winds. Left to lie on the floor of the wood the beautiful spalted patterns formed in the Beech. The flower on the close fitting lid is made with insets of Maple and Walnut.
The box is ideal for holding rings and other fine jewellery pieces but would look equally good as a unique display piece.
After turning I have sanded the box perfectly smooth, sealed it and then used natural wax inside and out before buffing it to a beautiful sheen.
This would be a perfect gift for someone special or as treat for you!
