I felt that the clean, clear design of pumpkins/squashes - which I love to eat! - would look super in the kitchen and I wanted to decorate a suitable item; the metal chalkboard seemed ideal as it would look equally at home in either a country kitchen or a more modern one.

Full description
I painted a cream panel on this metal chalkboard and decorated it with an unusual napkin decoupage design of a group of pumpkins/squashes. I then varnished twice for protection.
The board measures 9.5" by 19.25" (24 x 49 cms); the writing area is 9" x 12" (23 x 30.5 cms).
The board has a shelf for chalk and eraser. The eraser is painted and decorated with a pumpkin.
There are two holes at the top corners of the board with wire to hang.
