The super, brightly coloured design on this napkin made me think of homely country kitchens and also my own annual preserve-making marathon! I wanted to use the design to make some pretty items for the kitchen, including this board.

Full description
I decorated this distressed cream/white chalkboard with a lovely clean/crisp napkin decoupage design of preserves and fruit on a painted and crackled cream background, which I think is such a lovely image for the kitchen. I then varnished the panel twice for protection.
The board measures 16.75" by 25.5" (42.5 x 85 cms); the writing area is 14" x 16" (38 x 41 cms) and on the back of the board there are two fixings on the top corners for hanging. (If required, one of these fixings can be used to tie a piece of string with chalk and to drape this over the front of the board, which gives a lovely country look).
