An original Shabby Cow design has been sandwiched between two new microscope slides and hung from a twenty inch snake chain. The design was created with a collage of fine art image, text and an illustration from a bird identification book then digitally resized to fit. The pendant is the regular microscope slide size of an inch by almost three inches (25 mm x 75 mm) and is finished using lead-free solder. The reverse of the image is a slice of a page from a vintage encyclopaedia. I love making collage. I use old book pages, images from fine art and bird identification books and then use microscope slides to create the pendant. I add my own twist or sometimes a borrowed phrase to make something a little different.
