Warm golden browns and rich chocolates greet you with this super Tigers Eye Necklace.
The feature of this design are the drops of faceted Tigers Eye gemstones which drape elegantly on the neckline from a beautiful yet substantial gold vermeil chain.
The Tigers eye stones are just gorgeous and shimmer in the light as you move. I have set the stones on gold filled wire, separated by small gold vermeil beads. I have gently curved the wire to create a feminine focal point. - please see photos.
The largest stone measures 42mm long x 12mm wide approx. The necklace measures 51 cm in length approx or 20 inches, but this can be shortened by closing the lobster claw clasp at a point further along the chain if you wish.
The necklace closes with a gold vermeil lobster claw clasp, stamped 925 for sterling silver.

I thought you might like to know a little more about Tigers Eye. It is an opaque gemstone and is part of the quartz family. It contains limonite, an ire ore, which gives it some of its colour. It has long, fibrous crystals which give its schiller or shimmer when cut. It is mainly found in South Africa.
