Full description

12 lovely pieces of jewellery grade 'End of Day' sea glass in blues and greens.

We personally collected these from the beaches close to where we live. The North East has a long and proud tradition of glassmaking and is world renowned for its craft.

The term 'End of Day' derives from the practice of glass workers gathering up the remnants of the day's production and either making items for themselves, or casting the glass into the nearby river, where it eventually made its way to the sea.

This glass has been tumbled in the waves for at least half a century. Some of it dates back to the early Victorian era.

The glass can be drilled or bezel set.
