The stones supplied are graded as A-B grade "semi precious" gemstones in their "natural form", having been factory cleaned, drilled, *faceted and lightly polished.

A - B grade semi precious gemstones are readily available and cheaper to purchase compared to AAA/AAA+ grade gemstones due to the fact that they have not been graded to a "carat weight" necessary for wide scale commercial stone setting, which would then go on to be used alongside precious metals such as gold & platinum to create various jewellery pieces.
Many people assume that gemstones such as emeralds, sapphires & rubies are super expensive to buy, which isnt the case...the many semi precious chips & stones available are mostly offcuts & surplus pieces of the larger (carat graded stone) shaped & cut into beads or ornaments and offered as "semi precious" and not "precious" gemstones as found and sold in jewellery peices in mainstream/independent jewellery shops/outlets.

Unusual mottled, frosted agate gemstone beads in colour tones & shades of intense yellows, iced lemon and barely there, mellow orange, this eyecatching finish has been achieved by using a process simular to permanent glass etching, and applying it to the gemstones over a period of time.
Mix and match these exciting gemstones with highly coloured glass beads to compliment its matte finish or polished metal such as copper, titanium or chrome for a truly one-off look....your choice!

Agate is a variety of chalcedony gemstone formed from layers of quartz, there are several varieties of Agate the more commonly available being Moss, Banded, Indian, Brecciated, Crazy Lace, Botswana, Blue lace, Carnelian and Plume.
