I really admired the detailed carving and panelling of this piece so typically art deco - which was present but lost in the heavy brown varnish which had been applied
The cream paint I mixed myself to complement the warmth of the solid oak once it had been revealed by sanding back to the bare wood
The interior has been painted in Annie Sloan Versaille
The result is a stunning item which would grace any room in the home

This lovely linen chest has been transformed to really show off the orginal craftsmanship which went into it's making in the 20's - 30's
The solid Oak top has been sanded and waxed by hand and the handpaintes cream exterior highlights the carved detail on the legs as well as the central art deco panelling
The chest measures 36 by 17 1/2 inches and stands 21 inches high
Suitable for any room in the home and extremely useful and pretty item
