"And washed up on the shore amid sea shells and fine, sparkly sand, I found her ring. There was no sign of her."
This is a rustic hand-shaped band in copper, encrusted with sea urchins and a single tear - a sparkling white cubic zirconia.
The ring is unique and one of a kind. It is made from recycled copper. I shape the ring from metal clay. The clay is copper particles suspended in a binder. When I fire it in the kiln, the binder is burned away leaving a ring of pure copper, which is more organic in shape than I could make it from metal sheet.
The shiny copper band is about 2-3 mm wide
