I love lavender bags and use them myself. I recently purchased some very beautiful hand-dyed silks from an artisan dyer and thought they would be so pretty made up like this. The vintage fabric looked perfect next to it.

This little bag has been crocheted in a beautiful hand-dyed pure silk thread, in a rich plum colour. Hand dyed threads generally have a shaded, marbled appearance rather than a solid colour, and this plum colour has very subtle differences in colour depth, giving an almost velvet appearance. I have added a Swarovski crystal to the centre of the flower for decoration.
Inside the bag is an extremely pretty little sachet of dried lavender (Yorkshire grown!) with a pattern of tiny sprigged flowers. I hand-sewed this from some vintage cotton fabric I have been hoarding.You can see it poking out in one of the photos. I will be very sad when I have used the last of it! The sachet can easily be removed to use the bag to hold a special small keepsake or gift.
The lavender will easily scent a drawer or enclosed space - there is a handle for looping over a cothes hanger or peg for scenting clothes. It could also be popped under a pillow for a little lavender "fix" at bedtime! I have several around my house and like to give them a little squeeze as I walk by.
The bag measures 7.5 cm by 7.5 cm ( 3 in by 3 in), excluding the handle.
This item will be wrapped in recycled, acid and bleed free tissue paper and a reusable gift box ( also made from recycled card).
