You'll notice that our candle holder designs are named after castles. They would have been essential objects a few hundred years ago but now make beautiful decorative items, which enhance the charming glow of candlelight.
York Castle originally consisted of two motte and bailey castles built in 1068. The majority of the remaining walls date from the 12th - 14th century, although many alterations were made throughout subsequent centuries, with some reconstruction carried out in the19th century. The historic city of York in the North of England and is possibly better renowned for it's beautiful Minster.
