You'll notice that our candle holders are named after castles. They would have been essential objects a few hundred years ago but now make beautiful decorative items, which enhance the charming glow of candlelight.
Beaumaris Castle is on the island if Anglesey in North Wales, overlooking the stunning Menai Straits. Begun in 1295 it was the last and largest of the castles to be built by Edward I in Wales. The castle was built with an almost geometric symmetry making it a daunting and impregnable fortress. It is still surrounded by the moat today, no longer a first line of defence but a picturesque haven for ducks!
