Amethysts were worn by the Egyptian soldiers to bring success in battle and calmness in danger. Recognized as the stone of St. Valentine, it is a stone of friendship. During the days of romance and chivalry, a lady would present her knight with a purple amethyst set in silver. This gift was thought to bring the couple happiness and good fortune.
Amethyst is also the birthstone for February.

Beautiful Art Nouveau inspired purple Amethyst cuff bracelet. Made from a rare antique silver trinity brass design, this stunning cuff has a 18x13mm Amethyst gemstone as a focal point to its design. Complete with two rows of faceted Amethyst beads this cuff bracelet closes with trigger clasps and fits a 7 inch wrist. If you would like the size altered please let me know, once on the wrist the cuff can be gently squeezed for a more secure fit.
