This canvas contains the classic quote from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, when Darcy proposes to Elizabeth.
'He sat down for a few moments, and then getting up walked about the room.Elizabeth was surprised, but said not a word. After a silence of several minutes he came towards her in an agitated manner, and thus began, 'In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.'
The quote has been screenprinted onto unbleached 100% cotton, heat sealed and then stretched onto a canvas frame, re-creating the look of a book page.
Can be displayed freestanding on a bookshelf or hung from the wall (see last picture)
This canvas measures; 20cms (8") x 20cms (8") and 3.5 cms (1 1/2") deep
As this product is screen printed by hand some variation in the colour and printing may occur.
