embroidered ninja fabric notebook cover and A6 sketchbook.
this notebook cover features a unique appliqued and embroidered ninja on the front cover. based on an original drawing by Little Black Heart, it is entirely handmade by me on a domestic sewing machine.
the ninja is in purple printed fabric, with black cotton detail, and his peeking face and hands are in white cotton..
the fabrics are layered and appliqued onto thick cotton calico, before i draw onto them with free machine embroidery (free motion embroidery). i then make up the finished item.
everything is cut, stitched, measured and handmade, with care, by me, ensuring each notebook cover is unique, well made and securely constructed.
the slipcover is made from heavy weight calico which has been pre-washed several times so it’s soft and should not shrink.
the seams are overlocked and topstitched and the cover is stiffened with vilene.
the cover is washable and re-usable, so you can simply replace the book when it’s full - the first book is included.
the sketchbooks are manufactured in the UK by seawhites of brighton. they are quality casebound hard cover books, containing 92 pages of 140gsm acid-free, all media cartridge paper. the books themselves measure approx. 15.5cm x 11cm
this A6 sketchbook is the perfect size for handbags and pockets, and would make a unique gift for anyone who likes to write or draw.
