This tie is individual and completely unique and results from a year of experimentation whilst on an artists placement at art college.

I like to work with specialty yarns that I source from a luxury mill in Scotland and this tie is knitted from fine, black merino wool, together with aubergine, khaki and a variegated orange silk.
The design features blocks and bands of coloured silk, including a variegated silk that I have dyed myself.

Measurements are 150 cm x 5 cm . Dry clean only

Ties are packaged in a cool, pin-stripe, cardboard box cube, providing an extra element of surprise when given as a gift

This tie is a unique design that I have developed through my recent 'artist in residence' placement at Hull School of Art.. Being back at college gave me the opportunity to experiment with different yarns and techniques and ways of dyeing my silks to introduce subtle changes of colour into my ties.
I have called this my 'Stained Glass Window' range as the design reminds me of the leading and brightly coloured glass shards featured in contemporary stained glass.

This tie was recently included in an 'Artists Access to Art School (AA2A) exhibition at Hull School of Art.
